The Centre was established in 2003 to help Malagasy people and the international community better understand the value of conservation in Madagascar. Its mission has three main axes:
• Promote high-level research in a diverse ecosystem that is unique in the world;
• Encourage environmental conservation by developing ecologically sustainable economic development programmes with local people; and
• Provide local people with the knowledge and tools to improve their quality of life through projects focused on sanitation, nutrition and education, and ultimately reduce poverty in the region.

• Report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Maintain good relationships with stakeholders, collaborators, partners and targeted local communities.
• Assist the Chief Operating Officer at local, regional and national meetings.
• Formally represent the CVB at the local, regional and national levels when the farm manager is not available.
• Oversee CVB community outreach programs and related research.
• Work closely with the Program Managers, the Chief Operating Officer and the Finance Department in the preparation and finalization of the CVB program budget.
• Work closely with the CVB's Directors of Finance, Research and Administration.
• Finding funding for community outreach programs
• Work closely with donors/donors and partners
• To present the impact/results of the CVB's activities at the local, regional, national and international levels.
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of CVB programs
• Monitor and evaluate CVB programs expeditions around Ranomafana and outside Ranomafana.
• Collaborate with and mentor the Head of the Research Department.
• To look after the interests of the CVB and to ensure that the missions of the CVB program are accomplished.
• Ensure that CVB program staff, systems and other resources are aligned with expected results.
• Teaching Student
• Engage in other projects outside the CVB
• Participate / facilitate training within the CVB

• Minimum a Master degree in Ecology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental sciences or Conservation Sciences
• Experience as Program Director for five (05) years
• Capacity to manage team and have field experiences
• Competency in international relation
• Ability to solve problems
• Ready to live in Ranomafana
• French and English are Fluent
• Organized, good morals, integrity, flexibility in working hours
